The Fool

beginnings · innocence · leap of faith

The Fool

Upright

A clean slate. The Fool invites you to step forward without a map, trusting that the road teaches what planning cannot.

Reversed

Recklessness disguised as courage. Check the cliff edge before you leap; a pause is not a prison.

Reading The Fool by position

Past

In the past position, The Fool names what you are carrying forward — the chapter of beginnings and innocence that shaped the current question. The reading asks what of it still travels with you, and what can be set down.

Present

At the center of the spread, The Fool is the energy in the room right now. Read upright, it is the active ingredient of your week; read reversed, it is the same energy turned inward or blocked. Either way, it asks for attention before action.

Future

In the outcome position, The Fool suggests the matter resolves through beginnings — not as fate, but as the direction things lean if you keep walking the current road. Cards describe weather; you remain the pilot.
